As the headlines indicate, our years of work in Red Bank, New Jersey paid off in a big way in 2015!
Our candidates, Republicans Mark Taylor and Michael Whelan, were first-time candidates running against longtime, Democrat elected officials with deep financial pockets. With a 2-to-1 Democrat-to-Republican registration advantage - we knew that, if we were to have a chance to get our clients elected, we would have to execute the plan flawlessly.
First, through substantial efforts of doors, phones and IVRs - we identified our supporters, our opponents' supporters and undecideds for nearly 4/5 of proven municipal election voters. Second, we organized volunteers to work at each polling location throughout Election Day. The volunteers' jobs were to "check off" voters on our Election Day Operations app, as soon as they voted. Checking them off on the app removed them from our phone bank system and door-to-door app in real time, meaning our volunteers in the field were only soliciting people to vote who had not already voted. Third, we organized additional volunteers to execute said door knocks and phone banks.
Utilizing the brand-new technology of an Election Day Operations app, our goal was to ensure all of our identified supporters voted, add unidentified Republican voters and truly track vote counts on Election Day - all to achieve the ultimate goal of gaining a Republican control of Council in Red Bank, New Jersey for the first time in 26 years.
Our efforts turned out 94% of our identified supporters, added over 150 unidentified Republican voters and secured victories for both of our candidates including a two-vote victory over the third-place, three-term incumbent.
The execution and victories secured a Republican control of Red Bank's government for the first time in 26 years. In fact, one of our candidates wasn't even born when Republicans last controlled Borough government.
The victory also secured receipt of the prestigious Reed Award for the Best GOTV Execution in the nation and a Goldie Award for our mail design in the race.

louisiana
Even our opponent admitted we ran "a brilliant campaign" in securing a statewide victory in Louisiana for former Congressman and now Attorney General Jeff Landry. The campaign was brutal from start to finish and saw millions of dollars spent in attack ads. While our opponent was an 8-year incumbent and narrowly edged us out in the jungle primary, we were able to celebrate a 12% margin of victory for Landry in the runoff.
South Carolina
After months of helping organize and execute trips to both North and South Carolina for Senator Rand Paul, UPT Strategies was hired as a consultant to Paul's presidential campaign and tasked with work in the First in the South Primary State of South Carolina. UPT Strategies helped build coalitions, campaign leadership, volunteer base and public endorsements, while also assisting with candidate appearances and on issues and messaging unique to the Palmetto State.
Maine
Working with the Maine Republican Party on a race featured in the New York Times, UPT Strategies helped Republican Robert MacDonald remain Mayor of Maine's second largest city, Lewiston. Despite a huge voter registration gap and being outspent 15-to-1 by the opposition, UPT used precision with voter targeting and use of technology to secure a 53% to 47% victory.
